The Salt in the Sea

A young Princess living in the seaside Kingdom of Isthia has been betrothed to the Prince who lives in the Kingdom across the bay ever since she was born.
For centuries their Kingdoms had been bitter rivals, but a recent alliance brought them together, and her wedding was to be a symbol of their newfound alliance
and friendship.

The girl was charming, beautiful and talented in many ways. She had grown up knowing the Prince, and found that he was a good man. She believed she loved him,
and was excited for their marriage. Her younger sister too had fallen for the Prince, and her younger sister too was charming, beautiful and talented. Though, not quite
so much as she, and try as she might, she was always out-shined by her older sister.

The girls, nonetheless, were nearly inseparable and cared for each other greatly. But as the time for her sisters wedding grew near, the younger girl began to
feel jealous, and mourned the fear that she would never escape her sisters shadow.

One night, her old handmaid offered her a special lotion that she said would make her beautiful. Hopeful, the young princess used the lotion. Each night she used it,
and each night it stung her eyes, and as she grew more and more beautiful, she also grew more and more bitter.

As the princess crossed the sea for her wedding, her younger sister offered her a special gift. She had been told that should her sister take it, all her sisters good
fortune would be hers, and in her bitterness she never thought to ask what it might do to her sister.

The young Princess' decisions take her situation from bad to worse. Now with her sister lost at sea and a Prince expecting a bride, she must take her sisters place.
But not knowing whether or not her sister is even alive, how can she live with the damage she's caused? Filled with bitterness and guilt, she finds that her sisters
fortunes are not all as grand as they seemed, and she fears she may be in over her head. Someone needs saving, the question is, who?
